Solar and Business hours are a perfect match because using your solar power is the key to a strong return on investment. If your business is open during sunlight hours, there is no better time than now to get solar.
When your company is buying power from the Utility grid during the day, you could actually be using free power from the sun. Substituting coal-fired power for clean solar power is not only good for the environment but great for your bottom line. Power prices have been consistently rising over the past years and will continue. Take control of your power costs and take advantage of the generous STC Federal rebates while they are still available. Future Sustainability only use proven high quality products including: Phono Solar, LG, Q-Cell, Power-One Aurora, ABB, SMA, and SUNGROW.
HOW IT WORKS
The Red in the chart represents the power usage in a typical M-F business. There is usually a basal consumption in every business for servers, fans, emergency lighting, etc.
7am the shop starts and all the lights and machines are turned on. 8am until 4pm the office and shop are in full operation. 4pm to 5pm it is just office lights, computers, and HVAC equipment running. 5pm CLOSED.
The Purple line represents the solar production of a 30kW Solar PV System for an average day in Queensland. It will produce somewhere from 115 to 135kWh of usable power.
The Green shaded area represents the directly usable solar power into that business. Instead of consuming 270kWh of grid power from 7am to 5pm, they have now only consumed 145kWh.
Now with the use of a zero export device on the inverter, we can oversize a system so that the solar production is ramped directly proportional to the business consumption.
